WWB and FOVISEE together with a group of partners develop the weatherization program called “Sustentabilizar Hogares”.
The first step of the program, given in 2016, was building the ecosystem in Bariloche (Patagonia, Argentina) for a weatherization pilot project. Among the stakeholders, the project counted with Citi Foundation, Fundación Avina, Community Housing Partners (CHP), among others.
Next step of the pilot project was auditing the sustainability level of a sample of 100 low-income homes. After the audits, the retrofits crews weatherized the 100 homes sample. And then again, auditing to measure impacts and results took place.
Between 2017 and 2018 we worked on a scaling-up initiative, that finally the Argentine National Housing Secretary accepted and funded in 2019. Within that new initiative, we worked in the auditing and weatherization of around 250 homes.
During the pandemic we developed a Healthy Homes program for Patagonia and started a Carbon Monoxide prevention campaign.
After the pandemic we continued weatherizing homes and in 2022 we started supporting a new partnership between FOVISEE and the National Secretary of Socio-Urban Integration – SISU.
In 2023 we supported the opening of a new office in Alun Ruca Neighbourhood: the CIVIS-Bariloche, together with the National Secretary of Socio-Urban Integration, FOVISEE, MTE, El Semillero and with support of CitiFoundation.
